Intended use

The surgical drape is designed for long-term and large-volume operations. During the operation, it covers the patient’s body and the surrounding area. When the doctor performs the operation at a fixed position of the incision, the oozing liquid can be effectively absorbed and barrier bacterial.

The performance requirement: Meet the requirements of EN 13795-1.

Product structure and components

The product is mainly made of SMS non-woven fabric, spunlace non-woven fabric, PP+PE composite non-woven fabric. Basic components are main sheet, optional components are adhesive tape, surgical film, TPE/TPR plastic film, reinforcement, liquid collection pouch, etc. Surgical drape should be sterile.

Use method

1. Before use, the medical personnel shall check whether the product is the required product, whether the packaging is complete and undamaged, and whether it is within the service life. Open the packaging bag from the opening position and take out the product.

2. Use of the product

  • Simple drape:Place the drape at the position where they need to be isolated or cushioned, and unfold the drape according to the folding order or the direction indicated by the label.
  • Adhesive tape:Remove release paper, Place the drape at the position where they need to be isolated or cushioned, and unfold the drape according to the folding order or the direction indicated by the label, and press on the adhesive site.
  • Main aperture drape: Confirm the placing direction of the drape, remove the release paper, fix the drape in the desired isolation position and attach it, and then unfold the drape according to the folding order or the direction indicated by the label. If there is a liquid collection pouch, pull the mouth of the pouch to a shape suitable for collecting the liquid.
  • Under-buttocks drape: Confirm the placing direction of the drape, the medical staff inserts both hands into the cuffs in the direction indicated by the label, and extends them left and right, then places the drapes under the patient’s buttock, and then unfold the drape according to the folding order. If there is a liquid collection pouch, pull the mouth of the pouch to a shape suitable for collecting the liquid.
  • Main aperture drape for orthopedic: Confirm the placing direction of the drape, if there is adhesive tape or surgical film at the incision of the surgical drape, remove the release paper, fix the drape in the desired isolation position and attach it, and then unfold the drape according to the folding order or the direction indicated by the label. if there is TPE/TPR plastic film at the incision of the surgical drape, the patient’s troubled limbs were threaded through the holes in the surgical drape and the incisions were isolated and exposed, and then unfold the drape according to the folding order or the direction indicated by the label. If there is a liquid collection pouch, pull the mouth of the pouch to a shape suitable for collecting the liquid.

3. Postoperative product disposal: put it into the corresponding medical waste collection container according to local standards.

Precautions

  • Surgical drape is only for single use and shall be discarded immediately after use. It shall not be reused, and shall be incinerated after use.
  • Do not use the surgical drape if it is found damaged or there is something wrong with the package. Surgical drape should avoid prolonged contact with chemicals.
  • The product is sterilized, it is sterilized by EO, it is strictly prohibited to use it with packaging damage. The product must be used within the validity period.
  • The product is valid for 3 years.
