Installation

1. Connection to power supply

  • Insert the plug of the power cable of the console into the 3-way socket of single phase, 110~220V, 50/60Hz power supply.
  • Turn on the mains switch on the back panel of the console. Then the indicator on the switch will be light that means power is on.

2. Connect the Foot Switch

  • Point the plug of foot switch at the socket on the console in the direction marked by the red dot and insert to the bottom.

3. Insert / Dismantle the Motors

  • Point the plug of Cranial Motor at the Cranial Motor Output socket marked as black color on the console in the direction marked by the red dot and insert to the bottom.
  • Point the plug of Cranial Motor at the Cranial Motor Output socket marked as blue color on the console in the direction marked by the red dot and insert to the bottom.

4. Insert / Dismantle the Hand pieces

  • Insert: insert the hand piece to the motor at the direction that the arrow at the end opposite the arrow on the motor. The connection should be tight, the hand piece could not be pulled out with a slight force.
  • Dismantle: pressing the unlock button, and pull out the hand piece.

5. Insert / Dismantle the Perforator

Caution:

  1. Conform the self-stop function is working well. It cannot be used under abnormal condition.
  2. Don’t touch the drill bit when it is working.
  3. Don’t pull the lock sleeve when the drill is working.
  4. Don’t press the locking button on the motor while it working.
  5. When using please use normal saline irrigating and cooling the perforator/craniotome/drill bit.

6. Insert / Dismantle the Grinding Bur

  • Insert: Hold the end of the handpiece, and turn the sleeve till the marker on it is point to the. At this position where the jig is open up, put in a grinding bur needed for operation and it must reaches the bottom of the jig. Then turn the rotary sleeve till the marker on it is coincided with the on the handpiece. At this position, the jig clamp is locking up the bur, and cannot pull the bur out.
  • Dismantle: Hold the end of the hand piece with a hand, and turn the sleeve till the marker on it is point to the on the handpiece. At this position where the jig is open up, pull the bur out.


Caution:

  1. Don’tstartthemotorwhenthehandpieceisnotfullylocked.
  2. Don’tstartthemotorwhenthereisnoburinserted.
  3. Don’tuseanyaccessorieswhichisnotfrom“HUIDAMED”.
  4. Don’t push the handpiece too hard during operation. Overexertion will lead to breakage of the Motor and handpiece.
  5. Check the bur before use, blunt burs will impact working performance and cause overloading. Over use the consumables are badly for the motor and handpiece.

7. Insert / Dismantle the Craniotome

  • Insert: Hold the adaptor and turn the lock sleeve till the on it is point to the . Take out the Protecting Jacket and insert the craniotome into the socket of the craniotome adaptor. Then insert the Dura guard into the socket of the adaptor, turn the rotary sleeve anti-clockwise till the on the rotary sleeve is coincided with the on the adaptor, while locked the Dura guard could not be taken out.
  • Dismantle: Hold the adaptor and turn the lock sleeve till the on it is point to the. At this position where the jig is open up, pull the Dura guard out, then pull the craniotome out.

Caution:

  1. Don’trunthemotorwhenadaptorisnotfullylocked.
  2. Suggestservicelifeofreusablecraniotomebladeis3~5operations.
  3. Please use normal saline keep irrigating and cooling the craniotome during operation.
  4. Don’t push the handpiece too hard during operation. Overexertion will lead to breakage of the Motor and handpiece.
  5. Checkthecraniotomebladebeforeuse,bluntbladewillimpactworkingperformance and cause overloading. Over use the consumables are badly for the motor and handpiece.

Cleaning, Sterilization and Maintenance

  • Surgical Power System is a precision device with compact internal structure.
  • Blood stains must be thoroughly cleaned with clean water immediately after operation.
  • Use a clean soft cloth with disinfectant to wipe the hand pieces and wires, so as to avoid fouling, rust, blocking, damage to the handle and parts.
  • Handle and burs should be disinfected after cleaning.
  • The motor and handpiece must have drying processing before storage. If water is left in the motor, it has influence on service life of the parts.

Caution:

  1. Do not soak the motor with detergent or any other liquid, especially corrosive gas or liquid.
  2. Before cleaning the console, please turn off the power, and unplug the wire of AC power.
  3. As medical wastes, the console and accessories which is at the end of their useful life, should be handed over to a professional recycling agency for disposal.
